The Trafigura Foundation is proud to support The HALO Trust in clearing minefields in Angola. By removing landmines and unexploded ordnance from farmland and national parks, HALO transforms hazardous areas into safe, productive, and biodiverse spaces, enabling communities to rebuild sustainable livelihoods.
With support from the Foundation, HALO will clear 39.6 hectares in Bié Province and the Okavango Basin, benefiting nearly 9,000 people. The initiative strengthens community resilience and protects biodiversity in some of Angola’s most ecologically important regions.
